Audi Q7 Diamond Cut Face Repair – Bent Rim
This Q7 Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel had to be spun on a CNC Lathe (Alloy Wheels Diamond Cutting Machine), to achieve the immaculately Polished Finish on the front of the Alloy’s face. If the Alloy is not completely straight and is spinning with a buckle or even slight bend in it, The Diamond Cutting machine will not be able to Cut the wheel right. In some cases, can even break the head of the Diamond tipped tool used to cut through the aluminium face of the Alloy Wheel.
An Un-Straightened Wheel can also cause problems for the Diamond Cutting machines scanner and probing device, as the area which is expected to be completely flat, is not. This is the reason why all alloys which are going to be re-diamond cut, or 1st time Diamond Cut for Customisation work , have to be straightened before we go on to diamond cut them. The Alloy Wheel Straightening process is completed by a fully trained and highly skilled technician, on our hydraulic straightening machines. Cost for this service is dependent on the severity of the bends in the Wheel.
