Mercedes Smart Brabus- Front & Rear Buckled Alloy Straightening
This set of Smart Car Brabus Alloys where badly damaged when the customer had been involved in a big accident on the motorway at over 60mph. The car ended up driving onto the left hand side island after a collision with another car. All the wheels were in a really bad state, and required A Full Alloy Wheel Refurbishment along with Alloy Wheel Straightening and Welding to get the wheels looking perfect again. The customer decided to slightly change the finish on the alloys as they were originally Diamond Cut but had them Powder Coated into Hyper Silver instead.
When Alloy hit things such as high kerbs or hit potholes in the road they can be damaged as a result of the collision. The amount of damage normally depends on the speed of the impact and the shape of the alloy wheel itself.
With Deep Dish Wheels the Dish on the front side of the alloy does not have much protection as the supporting spokes are all the way in towards the middle of the wheel which therefore means the dish is more susceptible to becoming bent or buckled when the wheel has some sort of high speed impact. The use of low profile tyres does not help as the lower profile means there is less tyre to protect the wheel.
